Shelby..... I love that she is independent. That she is a hard worker. That she is caring, and loving, and still thinks that I know a little something that could help her:) I love that she is 12 and can babysit!

Kyle..... I love that he is so tender hearted. I love that he is good at sharing. That he likes to play ball with his siblings, and that he cares about his appearance. The hair, clothes, and all have to look good!

Bryan..... I love him because he is hilarious! I love that he can hang out with ANYONE and have fun. I love that he asks me how I'm doing, and really wants to know.

David..... I love that he is so sweet to me. He really loves being with me, and will often turn down offers the leave. I love that he is super fun, and out going.

Anna Jean..... I love her sweet little voice. Sometimes I complain that she talks all the time, but I will miss her little voice when she grows up! I love that she is girlie and loves her dresses. I love that she likes to sing with me.

Kenneth.... I love that he is a good father. I love that he works so hard to provide for us. I love that he loves me:) I love that he is so smart, so when the kids have questions I can tell them to ask their dad!

WHEW! We survived the summer!

So...... what a crazy summer! I am tempted to skip right over it, and name this post Back to school! But, alas I think it needs mentioned. The first week in June I broke my leg. I know. Way to go Amy! It is both the fibula and tibia. I had surgery the same day I broke it, and they put a titanium rod down the middle of the tibia held in place by several screws. I used a walker the first 6 weeks because I couldn't put any weight on it. Then I graduated to 50 lbs weight baring and crutches. Then during week 8 I tripped. Yep I am so super coordinated. So at week 10 I was given 6 more weeks at 50 lbs. Such a bummer! My fibula needs more time to heal before I add more weight on it.

The only way I have survived this summer has been my wonderful family and friends. I can barely think of all the wonderful people that have impacted my recovery without tearing up.My sweet hubby met the ambulance at the hospital. I was so relieved to see him. He has been my rock and my comforter. I love his so much, and I am grateful for all the work he has been doing in the house, the basement, the yard, and at work.

I just have to say how lucky I am to have Kay and Rick as my parents. They stepped in yet again to help raise my children. Dad had all 5 kids for the first few days after my surgery. Yeah, all 5. He is super grandpa. My mom stayed with me awhile, then went to her house to raise my kids. They are so lucky to have her. The sweet kiddos stayed there almost all summer. Mom and Dad brought them back every few days so I could see them, and they could see that I was getting better. They had a great time riding horses, helping at Early park, swimming, and all manner of other fun things.Thanks Mom and Dad!

My new ward brought food for a month! Three times a week for a month! It was wonderful! They only stopped because we told them it was time. They were totally willing to keep feeding us. We have really bonded with our new ward members. Love you guys already!

My sweet friends stopped by, called , and brought me tons of movies and treats. I am so grateful for the wonderful friendships I have made in my life. Long lasting, unconditional friendship. I love you ladies so much! Thanks for loving me back!

It will be about 18 months before I am completely healed, but I have already learned so much about myself and my family. I feel very blessed to be getting better and to be learning so much. Ok there you go!

The kids went back to school today. They were all really excited and got up early and were all ready on time. Shelby is in 6th grade, Kyle and Bryan are in 4th grade, and sweet little David is in 1st grade. All day school for Dave! I went and had lunch with him today in case he needed help, but he did great and it was fun to see him happy and so confident. Anna starts at Ms. Debbie's in September. She has already picked out her outfit for the first day. Such a fun girlie girl! There you go. The longest post in history!

Fun Saturday

We have had so much fun today I thought I had better share it with you.

1. We had 2 awesome soccer games. David and Kyle both scored goals, and Bryan did his first header!

2. Chris and Larry and Greg and Sam came over to see the basement (the framing is almost done), and to bring us Chris and Larry's old table. Thanks a bunch!

3. We went to our new neighborhood park, and rode bikes and played on the playground. Then the big four joined a kickball game. The adults and teenagers were so kind and really taught my kids how to play. They had a blast!

4. Then we went to the Maverick to get drinks cause we were parched from all the playing!

5. Stacy and Steve's family came over and we cooked hot dogs on the grill, and had shrimp salad and baked beans. Then the kiddos ran around and had a great time. It was the first time to have anyone over for a backyard BBQ in the new house :)

6. Now the cousins are sleeping over. Well not sleeping yet, but they are clean and fed and having a fabulous time playing.

The only thing that could have been better was that Ken is out of town. Missed you Babe!

New House!

We are loving our new home! Thanks to everyone who has helped us get settled. We have met some new neighbors, and have had several friends come and play. Happy are we! I found some pictures of the house before we moved in, but am having trouble with the upload so they will come later:)

Better pictures will come when we have it all beautified!

Our home is sold

Our home for the last 8 1/2 years has sold. So bitter sweet. We have loved our neighbors and friends we met here. It has truly been home. I am hoping because our new house is close by in Layton that all of these wonderful friendships will continue.
We are so excited to put our own stamp on the new house, but not until march 31st. Here is the tricky part. We have to be out of our current home by the 10th of March. Did ya catch that? See the problem? Well, we are all very excited to stay with Kay and Rick for the interim time, and they are so sweet to be so welcoming. It will be all the driving back to school that will be a pain, but so worth it to have a comfortable place to stay.

Happy Father's Day! I (Shelby) wanted to write on fathers day so mom (Amy) let me. My mom is going to make a delicious lunch. It's going to be tasty. Dad (Ken) is at a church meeting right now but he'll be back soon( what I mean by soon is about 11:00 ). I can't wait until he gets home. He came home from Wyoming yesterday and I complained because I missed him so much.

IT'S RAINING!!!!! Why does it always have to rain on holidays! It's starting to get really annoying! I was thinking about playing baseball in our back yard but no. Rain had to stop all the fun. I hope our house doesn't flood. That would be bad.

Mother's Day Poem...

Here is some FABULOUS news from my good friend Jenn Gilmore!! Just had to share! I love her and I am so thrilled to hear this news!!

What a blessing it is to have Ethan as a son,
And to be a father and mother,
But he has been asking and hoping and wishing
That someday there’d be another.
A sibling for him to play with and teach,
And with tons of kisses he’d smother,
So...before Ethan turns five he’ll get his wish
Of a little sister or brother!!!

Wahoo!!!!! We're actually pregnant! We are so grateful for this miracle directly from the Lord! Never thought it could/would happen. But here we are almost 3 months along. We feel so immensely blessed, sometimes we don't know what to do with ourselves. Other than that...nauseated, exhausted, and plumping nicely.

This is what's new:

Anna and David are both sick again. I know, I know. You are all completely shocked. So was I. Before she got sick, Annie has been playing with her cousin Kenzie a lot. They usually play "babies", or "tea party".

Dave has been busy with school and friends. He is such a fun little guy. Legos are his favorite things these days. Good chance you will step on one if you come over!

Kyle and Bryan are done with Jr. Jazz. They both LOVED it. Kyle made a basket every game, and Bryan is a master defender. They got to see Paul Millsap at a special meet a Jazz player clinic type thing. It was pretty cool. They also got to go to a Jazz game. I am pretty sure it was their first game.

Shelby is big into friends these days. She has 2 sleeping over tonight. She had a gift card to Claire's, so we went to the mall for dinner and to spend her card. We spent LOTS of time in Claire's before they finally decided. Sweet Punkin shared her card so they each got something.

Grandma and Grandpa Weaver

We have been at my folks house for a couple of days, and we have had such fun!

Dad used his 4 wheeler to pull a sled. The kids love that!

Dad took Shelby and David skiing at Beaver mountain. They had lots of fun and were very worn out.

Mom and Anna make sugar cookies today. Annie didn't even eat too much. She enjoyed the whole process. It was too cute!

Shelby wants to add a few things:

I Went skiing with David and had lots of fun. Grandpa helped David while I went up and down little beaver. When we came home, Grandma Kay had cookies and cake on the table. I ate most of the cookies. They tasted out of this world.

Today we wen to go see Rex, the dog I want. His hair stands up like a mad scientist! I've known him since he was born. Right now he's about 10 months old. That's old for a dog. He's big and whitish colored now. And there's new ones! I've named one of them that's white Sky.
We went to the hospital today for a tour! We saw a helicopter! It was sweet. We saw a room where the babies go after their born! It was darling. We also got to see a special camera for surgery!

I can announce that my sister had her baby last week! Hooray!Elsie Grace joined Ainsley Mary, Niles Cade, and Kenzie Rose on January 21st (the day before I turned 33) weighing in at 6lbs and 4oz. She was 19 inches long. Pretty impressive since she was 3 weeks early! She has a nice head of dark brown hair! Stacy has a redhead, and 2 blonds, now a dark haired one! Isn't that cool! I love them all, and I am so glad that we live close to one another!

Kyle lost another tooth, but again not until the new one came in. Why is that? He was extra brave this time. He wanted the toothfairy money! Smart kid. He inspired Bryan to wiggle his loose one a little more. Bryan's loose tooth is the same one as Kyle's just lost one. It will be out this week sometime. I am so proud of my sweet boys! They had a wonderful baptism on Sunday. They had lots of friends and family come to support them. We were sad that lots of the Jeppesens were sick, but they were with us in spirit. They boys have really taking this step seriously. Asking many questions, and trying hard to make correct choices. So we have all been sick forever! The stomach flu, and strep throat. In fact I am off to the doc with Dave today to get his throat swabbed.

He said last night " My forehead hurts, my throat hurts, and my tummy aches! How many sickies do I have?"

Another funny: Anna said " No! I have to check my e-mail!"
Her brothers just got email addresses, so we have lots of email talk.

We are getting ready for the twin's baptisms on the 28 th at 5:30pm. With a light supper after at our house, but be prepared to be very crowded! We couldn't find another place to hold the party, so we get to be up close and personal at our house..

Ok that was whiny! I am super grateful to have my home! (Is that better?)

Unbelievable! We have cub scouts! Kyle and Bryan had their first pack meeting last night. It aslo happened to be the pine wood derby. I am very new to all of this scout stuff, so are the boys, but we had a ball. Bryan got 2nd over all, and Kyle tied for 6th! We are so proud of them! We are proud of Ken, too. He worked very hard with the boys to get their cars just right. Thanks to the grandparents for coming and cheering the boys on! Ooo and ahhh at their cool cars!

We had a fabulous 8th birthday day! They boys got up very early (5am), as to not miss a minute of their special day. We went to Krispie Kreme for breakfast, and they blew out candles in their donuts. They also opened presents from us and the kids. They got suits, scriptures (with their names on them), scripture cases, and shirts with ties. They knew that they were getting all of these things, but a few days before Bryan said " I want Legos for my birthday" I kindly reminded him that he got Suits and things, and he said " Ohh, that's so much better!" Whew! A close one. Wouldn't want a disappointed boy on his b-day!

Then Grandma Kay and Grandpa Rick came over, and we went to lunch at they school. Of course we took cupcakes! We stayed with the boys thru recess, and back to class for show and tell. They chose to show me, Anna, David, and Grandma. It was fun to hear them chat with their class.

After school it was off to Chuck E. Cheese's! What fun! They had 4 friends, and all of our kids. It was a blast. They played games, ate pizza, and cupcakes, and opened friend presents. Thanks to Donna, Kay, and Dad for helping at the party!

Then we went birthday shopping with Grandma Kay, while grandpa babysat everyone else. My folks have started letting our kids pick out their own gift! TO FUN!

We had fettuccine alfredo with garlic bread and salad for dinner,as per a request from Kyle. Bryan wanted Lasagna which we will eat on Monday! Grandma Chris and my sisters kids came along with Grandma Kay and Grandpa Rick. We sang, ate cake, opened presents, and played Uno Spin. It was so fun, and they were to happy!
After everyone left, we played games, and did legos.

Anna and went to bed and Ken and Kyle and Bryan stayed up till midnight to finish out their special day!

So I was just about to climb in my bed, when I look at my boys who will be eight on Friday, and I see my newborn little babies. I took a picture to show everyone how remarkable my twin boys are in their sleep! I will forever be grateful that I was chosen to be their mother.

We had a very successful primary program today. Shelby, Kyle, and David performed with gusto! Poor Bryan was home with the stomach flu. He was sad that he missed out. They all practiced very hard. Yesterday they had a dress rehearsal, and when they were getting ready Anna ran upstairs to get ready for church, too. She was not getting why everyone of the kids were going except for her. I guess its hard to be the baby.

Thanks to the grandparents for coming to support our kids! It made them all very happy. (Me too) Sorry you were sick Kay! We missed you.

I took some pics., but they are not great. Shelby and Anna are matchy matchy. I am glad Shelby is not apposed to such things yet!

Sooo the kiddos found my playlist today, and made it OUR playlist. It was fun to hear what they wanted to listen to. They spent like an hour adding songs and dancing like crazy. Anna said "look Mom I can shake my bootie"! Thanks to whatever big kid taught her that! Enjoy the new music!

Cool Costumes

My babies all had a great time last night, right up till it started to sprinkle. Then they were quite concerned about their costumes. Shelby last minute decided to be a vampire ( Thanks Donna for giving Shelby your costume right off your back!) Kyle was Indiana Jones, Bryan was a transformer ( optimus prime), Dave was a dirt bike racer - not a motorcross racer, and Annie was JoJo ( a clown from tv).

I even dressed up this year as a college graduate! I didn't actually ever graduate, so I was really playing dress up! My friend Julie went to a party with me on last friday. She was a Hawaiian tourist, She was sweet to be my date. Ken was out of town. Thanks Julie!

This is the first year Anna was really into trick or treating. She was so cute. On the other hand Shelby wasn't as enthused as other years. Part of me wishes they would stay small forever. I guess I am out of luck with that. Just check out how big they all are getting!

Happy Halloween!

We went to a pumpkin patch yesterday with our friends the Bissegers. We got to ride in a trailer behide a tractor. The kids thought it was great. I thought it was great that we were the only group on the trailer. Everyone got to pick a pumpkin out of the field. It was very interesting to see who picked what. They are all so different.

Also, very exciting news! Anna Jean is going potty!! She is doing great! I can't even believe after 10 YEARS I am almost done with diapers! She is so big! Check back for pics of the patch.

Our First Piano Recital

Shelby, Kyle, and Bryan all had their first piano recital on Thursday! They did great. Shelby has been taking lessons for a year, but the boys have only been taking for 6 weeks! They all had their pieces memorized, and played with confidence. We are so proud! They even got to wear their halloween costumes. Here are some not so great pics.

Also, Kyle has his very first loose tooth! To bad his new tooth has come in behind it already! Crazy! He is so excited. We all thought they were going to keep their baby teeth forever. Bryan is still waiting!

We had a pretty typical day today. School, pre school, babysitting for the neighbors,naps, chores, snacks, playing with friends, dance, dinner, and bed!
Whew! Another day.

A little something about David: He is always saying the funniest things like : "actually",and "I think...NO!" He is quite a character!

Anna Jean told me today that she doesn't need to go to the potty because she can plop her poop in her diaper! (Sorry about the poop talk, but that is what she said!)
It is fun to listen to what they will say each day!

i am so excited to join this new relm of keeping in touch!

we are all well. we had our first snow of the year which the kids are loving.
i am not sure i was quite ready for it. i love the way it looks, but the coats and gloves, and boots! AHHH!

here are some tidbits about each of the kids:

shelby- she's 10! a whole decade. crazy! she stays busy with school, piano, dance, soccer, and achievement days, and of course friends.

kyle- is almost 8! big year. he stays busy with soccer and piano, and will start basketball again soon.

bryan-also will be 8 soon! he is playing soccer and piano and will start basketball for the first time in Jan.

David- is 4 and a half and full of it! he has started ms. debbie's pre kindergarten class (he is the 4th of our kids to go to ms. debbie's) he is so much fun!

Anna- our baby is 2 1/2! She loves to sing the abc's and popcorn popping, twinkle twinkle little star, and i am a child of God. she is full of fun! I will post again soon! Amy
